Percy Jackson Unit Study
Greek History, Mythology & Astronomy
A four week cross-curricular unit study for elementary/middle grade homeschool students. This unit covers social studies, science & language arts.
We are finishing up our first week of the Percy Jackson unit study and I have really been blown away by how well my son has responded to the materials. He completed his first research project 100% independently and that is a huge accomplishment that I wouldn't have attempted at this point (he's newly 8) but this unit study seems to have given him a lot of confidence.

Hi, I am Jenny Berling. I have been homeschooling my two kids since 2015. I created Mosaic Method to meet my family’s educational needs. I love the idea of literature-based curriculum, but with my son's learning disabilities (Auditory Processing Disorder, Dysgraphia & Dyslexia), it didn’t appear to be a good fit for us. We've bounced around from curriculum to curriculum trying to find something that would be a better fit. Finally, I decided to pull together all the ideas I loved about other curriculum into a method that meets my children’s needs. I took all the little pieces and created a Mosaic that is designed specifically with Dyslexic and Audio-Visual Learners in mind.
Mosaic Method is:
- Secular
- Eclectic
- Technology infused
- Fun, Engaging & Memorable
Mosaic Method is inspired by:
- Multimedia-based schooling - integrating videos & online games
- Literature-based curriculum - family read alouds
- Project-based learning - utilizing small & large-scale projects to demonstrate learning
- Game schooling - incorporating board games & video games into the learning process
